Privacy Policy for OK Attendance: Work & Study

Effective Date: September 7, 2026 Developer: Pixelon Labs Package: com.okattendance.app Contact: labspixelon@gmail.com

Welcome to OK Attendance ("the App", "we", "our", or "us"), developed by Pixelon Labs. We are deeply committed to protecting your personal privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application collects, uses, and safeguards information when you use our services on Android devices.

1. Summary of Core Privacy Principles

  • Offline-First by Design: All your attendance records, timetable schedules, shift duty logs, wage calculations, and profile information are stored strictly on your local device in an encrypted SQLite database.
  • No Proprietary Cloud Servers: We do not operate custom user databases or backend servers that store, scrape, or process your personal attendance data.
  • You Own Your Data: You can export, backup, restore, or completely delete all your records at any time directly within the app.
  • Optional Cloud Backup: Cloud backups use your own private Google Drive storage (drive.appdata). We have zero access to your Google credentials or your backup files.

2. Information We Collect and How It Is Used

A. Local User Data (Offline Storage)

The App allows you to create, manage, and calculate:

How it is used: This data is processed strictly on-device using local SQLite queries solely to calculate attendance percentages, eligible class skips (bunk allowance), duty reports, salary estimates, and to render exportable PDF/Excel files. This information never leaves your device unless you explicitly initiate an export or cloud backup.

B. Google Account & Drive Backup (Optional Cloud Sync)

If you choose to enable the optional Google Drive Backup & Sync feature:

  • Authentication: The App uses the official Google Sign-In SDK to authenticate your personal Google Account.
  • Restricted Scope Justification: The App requests access strictly and exclusively to the restricted drive.appdata scope (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.appdata). This permission allows the App to create, update, and manage its own private backup snapshots within a dedicated, hidden Application Data folder in your Google Drive.
  • Security Guarantee: The App cannot see, browse, read, modify, or delete any of your personal files, Google Docs, photos, or other folders in your Google Drive. We do not operate an intermediary server, and your Google authentication tokens are never transmitted to Pixelon Labs or any third party.

C. Device Permissions

The App may request the following standard Android permissions:

3. Third-Party Services & Advertising

The free tier of the App integrates the Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) SDK to display banner and transition advertisements.

Google AdMob may automatically collect and process certain device information, including:

This information is processed directly by Google in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. You can reset or delete your advertising identifier at any time in your Android device settings:
Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID or Opt out of Ads Personalization.

For more details on Google's data practices, please consult:

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, trade, lease, or monetize your personal attendance logs or duty records to data brokers, analytics aggregators, or marketing firms.

Data transmission occurs solely in two isolated circumstances:

  1. Directly between your Android device and Google Drive servers when you manually trigger cloud backup.
  2. Directly between your Android device and Google AdMob servers for ad serving.

5. Data Retention, Backup, and Deletion

How to Delete Your Data

  • Instant Local Deletion: Inside the App, open Settings → Reset All Data. This permanently wipes all subjects, logs, timetables, and settings from your device's SQLite database immediately.
  • Deleting Cloud Backups: You can delete your backup snapshots directly from within the App backup settings screen, or by managing connected apps in your Google Account Security Dashboard.
  • App Uninstallation: Uninstalling OK Attendance immediately triggers Android to purge all local sandbox databases, shared preferences, and cached receipts.

6. Children’s Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

OK Attendance is designed for general audiences, high school and college students, and working adults. It is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal data to us, please notify us at labspixelon@gmail.com and we will take immediate corrective action.

7. Security of Your Information

We take application security seriously:
